(PICTURES WILL FOLLOW WHEN I GET GOOD WIFI)
I thought I
was really good getting up at 7.00, up in the Lido by about 7.30 for breakfast. Then
downstairs afterwards, cleaned my teeth, read for a while and got ready for the
9.00am presentation and raffle: didn’t win anything. On the way back to the
room the ship’s clocks said 10.40 – how could that be? Then I remembered I
hadn’t set my watch forward for the new time zone, so I’ve actually lost an
hour today! Oh well, that means I got a longer sleep than I thought last night.
I didn’t win the Faberge necklace at the next raffle; didn’t buy anything at
the Lido deck sale either!
This time at dinner I got the names of the
rest of my companions: Joan and Cliff from Philadelphia and Betty, not sure
where she’s from. All nice, chatty people. Dinner was very good; seafood
cocktail, mushroom soup and baked salmon. Desert – amoretto on coffee ice cream: yum!
I got the
best news back in my room – there’s a non-denominational service at 4.00pm
tomorrow, Sunday. Not sure whether there will be any weekday ones but at least
we get to meet some of the Christians on board.
Walked
promenade deck, probably about 2.5km; it was very windy and I was in my formal
dress with sandals, not good walking material! Off to bed
10.00; having breakfast in the room in the morning prior to the excursion
because the Lido will be very busy; everyone will be going out after having to
stay on board for more than 36 hours!
