I thought I was really good getting up at 7.00, up in the
Lido by about 7.30 for breakfast.
Then downstairs afterwards, cleaned my teeth, read for a
while and got ready for the 9.00am presentation and raffle: didn’t win
anything. On the way back to the room the ship’s clocks said 10.40 – how could
that be? Then I remembered I hadn’t set my watch forward for the new time zone,
so I’ve actually lost an hour today! Oh well, that means I got a longer sleep
than I thought last night.
A formal dinner tonight – it’s always fun to get dressed
up ... but not as much fun as when I had someone to dress up for. I got the
best news back in my room – there’s a non-denominational service at 4.00pm
tomorrow, Sunday. Not sure whether there will be any weekday ones but at least
we get to meet some of the Christians on board.
Walked promenade deck, probably about 2.5km; it was very
windy and I was in my formal dress with sandals, not good walking material! It
was a good photo time though; the light is always special on the ocean at
evening.
Off to bed 10.00; I’ll have breakfast delivered in the
room tomorrow prior to the excursion because the Lido will be very busy;
everyone will be going out after having been confined on board for more than 36
hours!
